Despite setting “Maximum number of items in Clipboard History” to 10,000 and unchecking the “Delete History Item After” option in the “Default Copy Setting” under the App Exception tab, Clipboard History still retains items for only about 25 days, even when the total number of items is far below 10,000. Older items appear to be automatically deleted.
What could be causing this? How can I make items persist longer?

Is your entire history being wiped, or just some items?

Just the items that are older than about 25 days

I set up a macro to periodically count history items and detect deletions. It appears that some items were removed between 2026/03/27, when I shut down my PC, and 2026/03/30, when I booted it up again.
Hopefully, the provided log contains the information you need. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help pinpoint the issue.

I don't see anything strange in the log, can you send me a screenshot of the ClipboardFusion Settings > Application Exceptions window?

I just noticed my application exceptions has all disappeared. Probably the same issue as
Application Exceptions Not Working
Also, weirdly, except during that PC restart, I haven’t noticed any history items getting deleted recently. Old items used to get cleaned up unexpectedly during normal PC usage every day. I’ll keep monitoring and may provide more logs if it happens again.

Sounds good, we'll keep you posted when we have a new beta for some added logging with the app exceptions.

I have history set to 500 items and I discovered this morning that all but 24 items have been deleted. I have quite a few items in the pinned section and luckily it looks like they are all still there. Pro 6.3 version. Why did most of my history get deleted? Thanks.
If you head to the Application Exceptions tab, is the "Delete history item after..." setting turned on?

Yes, actually! It was set to delete after 5 days. I unchecked the box and applied. Hopefully that will take care of the probelem. Thanks for the help!

I don't know if it's related to this or not but now if I am in LibreOffice Calc. I can't paste into multiple cells. i.e. - I highlight one cell and press <copy> and then select multiple blank cells and press <paste> and only the first cell is pasted and the others remain blank. I know it's something to do with ClipboardFusion because if I exit the program then I can immediately paste into multiple cells again. I've been using LibreOffice and ClipboardFusion for years and this has never happened before. Please help. Thanks.

Hello,
I also just discovered that now when I copy and paste from a LibreOffice Calc cell with a formula into a new cell, it does not paste the formula but only the text value shown in the cell. This is new changed behavior as well and not desired. Again, I verified that if I shut down the ClipboardFusion program copy and paste works as it should (pasting the formula and not the value shown in the cell).
If you disable the default trigger in the ClipboardFusion Settings > Triggers tab, does that fix it up?

Owen,
Yes, that seems to have fixed it! Copy/Paste in LibreOffice Calc now works as expected. Thanks for the help. I searched all over the discussions board but couldn't find anything. Again, I don't know how this changed. Maybe a new update added that default trigger when it didn't exist before?
