When I open the macro editor in version 2.02, the main area where you type in your macro seems to initially show whatever was behind it, so you can't see the code at all (in the attached screen shot you can see part of my desktop wallpaper).

It is easy enough to fix - just force a redraw. Eg. move the window off the screen and back again, or switch to another window and back again, or minimise all windows and restore them again, but initially when it first opens the code text area is invisible.

This happens on both my work PC (Win Vista) and my home PC (Win XP SP3).

I know that you made a few changes to the editor in the latest version, perhaps a bug crept in somewhere...

Cheers,
- Stephan

Very strange, I haven't had this happen on any of my machines. Also, I didn't really do anything with the editor with this release, only added new functions. :( Could it be a video driver thing, or something else? I'm not really sure where to start with this one. :(

I have tested v2.0.2 on my work PC, my PC at home, and my laptop. They all have different hardware/software, but all have the same problem (as above). Version 2.0.1 didn't have this problem, just v2.0.2.

Here are some details of the hardware/software that I am running:
  • Work PC
    Windows Vista Business 32-bit SP1
nVidia GeForce 9500 GT (PCI Express) - driver version 196.21
    DirectX 10.1
  • Home PC
    Windows XP SP3
    nVidia GeForce4 Ti 4600 (AGP) - ForceWare version 93.71
    DirectX 9.0c
  • Laptop
    Windows XP SP3
ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 (PCI Express) - driver version 8.261.060523a1-033841C
    DirectX 9.0c
Is anyone else having this same problem?

No one has reported this issue, but I'm going to investigate it more this weekend. I'm going to do a line-by-line diff of the editor control changes to see what I may have inadvertently done to cause this issue. I'll follow-up once I know more. Thanks!

I've made a few changes in Beta 1 to try and fix this issue. I can't seem to reproduce the issue on any of my machines though, so I'm sort of shooting in the dark here. Can you give Beta 1 a try and let me know if you still have the issue:

Thanks!

Might be a program or driver that you use on all 3 machines :). I don't have this issue.

Woohoo! :-D
I've tested v2.0.2.102 Beta 2 on my PC at work, and it works now - I don't see the background through the macro editor window anymore.
I'll test Beta 2 on my laptop and PC at home later tonight... I'll report back later.

I've tested v2.0.2.102 Beta 2 on my Laptop and Home PC, and it works on those computers now too - I don't see the background through the macro editor window any more.

I don't know what you did, but it seems to have fixed this issue. :-D

Excellent, thanks for letting me know. I introduced something to prevent the textbox from flickering while redrawing, but it turned out that on some machines it would fail to redraw initially. I fixed the bug easily, once I tracked it down. Thanks for your patience! :)
