Hello
I am looking for a clipboard that stores clips permanently hopefully in folders so that they can be used to create a letter etc with standard pieces

Is this possible in Clipboardfusion as I duel boot into Windows and Linux and also use Android devices Clipboardfusion sounds like a good option.

What type of content would be in these clips? Just unformatted text?

Hi
Thanks for your reply

I think most of the clips would be plain text

With Windows I used a Clipboard Manager -spartan8hd that allowed me to store mainly text items in several stores controlled by using F keys to switch between stores , The clips in each store where presented as list . they could be pasted with one click into whatever .
I used a version in Win XP that needed updating to a new version on Win 7 . It would not work in Linux even using Wine and was told by the developer that he was not going to make a Linux version . I found a program called Keepboard that worked but it was not as versatile
When I came across Clipboardfusion (Other programs are available lol ) I liked the idea of having the same clipboard on all my devices .
AS I could not find much detail on how to use it on the Web so I posted on here

I Hopeit will do my job

Ok, great! If it's just unformatted text, you can save them as Recent or Pinned items in ClipboardFusion, which then get synced to your account. Unfortunately it doesn't have a comprehensive organizational system though, it's just a straight list of the text clippings.

Would you like a 30-day trial key so that you can test it out?

Thanks for your offer I would like to give it a go.
That is the only way to give it a proper work out .

The reason I asked the question is that I prefer to check things out before I commit .
In the past I have had trial software that involved quite a lot of setting up ad putting data in only to find it is not suitable for my needs .. I therefore will have wasted a lot of time and effort for nothing .

Sounds good! I've just sent a trial key over. After installing, you'll need to put your account info in on the Settings > Clipboard Syncing tab. You can also choose whether you want all copied text to be synced to the Recent Items automatically, or if you want to manually do it.

Please let me know if you have any other questions at all.

Thanks!
