Hey! I'm not sure when I upgraded to ClipboardFusion 6.2 but I'm having terrible issues with it that makes it effectively worthless. I have the Show History Menu bound to Ctrl+Alt+X.

If I copy some text with Ctrl+C and then hit Ctrl+Alt+X, I see the copied text. If I copy some more text, that also appears in the history. But, when I copy for a third time, what I just copied doesn't appear in the history... nor do the previous two items. And nothing I copy from this point on gets into the history - not unless I quit ClipboardFusion and run it again. And even then... I get my first two copies and then nothing.

Effectively I have no copy history at all (other than what was previously in the database from before this bug). I'm not sure what could be causing this but I've tried closing other apps just in case but... nope, that hasn't helped.

I'm attaching the debug info in case that's helpful but this... is a crazy bug.

Could you send me a screenshot of the ClipboardFusion Settings > Application Exceptions > Default Exception's edit window?

I cannot, there *is* no "Default Exceptions". There's a "Default Copy Settings" - which I've attached a screenshot of - but there's no "Default Exceptions". If it's meant to exist... well, I didn't delete it. :-/

Thanks! Those copy rules look fine to me. Could you send over a debug log for this issue?

  • On the ClipboardFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

Okay, thanks! It seems to be working properly today (I have no idea what changed - I did shut my PC down over the weekend but I always shut it down every evening too so...?) - but I've enabled the L1 logging. If it reproduces again, I'll attach the log here.
