Hi,

I have been looking for a piece of software to solve a problem for years, and haven't found one. It's just possible that this might be something that Clipboard Fusion could do.

Frequently, I find myself typing into text fields in web browsers (such as IE). It's fairly easy to end up selecting the whole block of text (say by hitting Ctrl-A or by clicking into another window and back again), and then a single keypress loses that entire block of text with no possibility of ever getting it back.

Is there any way some clever bit of software could 'intercept' the text deletion and keep the text safe in a history buffer somewhere so it can be pasted back?

Hi Robin, unfortunately that isn't possible because it hasn't been copied yet. However, I do have a little trick for you. The next time you accidentally delete some text from a field like this, just press Alt + Backspace to undo what you just erased. I hope this helps! :)

No problem at all, good luck. :)

CTRL + Z also will undo your last action in most Windows-based programs, so you could also try that as an alternative.

I have fallen victim to the accidental keystroke when selecting text more times than I could count - and 99% of the time CTRL + Z worked.
I am I.

Good point, I forgot that CTRL + Z does the same thing as ALT + Backspace, thanks! :)
