There are plenty of times that I want text formatting to be retained and other times when I do not. I would like to be able to have a separate hotkey combination (Ctrl-Shift-V, perhaps) that would paste the current text with no formatting, but have the usual Ctrl-V option past normally.

If you make a Trigger that scrubs your text and have it run on the "Trigger Command Received" setting, you should be able to set up a HotKey that will fire this trigger and paste your text into your active window.

Once you have the Trigger set up, the HotKey can be found in "Settings" -> "HotKeys" -> "Run Triggers on Clipboard text now and paste"

I hope this helps!

Great suggestion, I will try it out.

I am confident in saying that I am sure that this is a function that others would also appreciate being baked into the software as a native operation.
