Is there any way to speed up the clipboard syncing process? I have it configured to automatically sync my clipboard and find that it takes anywhere from 10-45 seconds to sync a new item on the clipboard. By comparison, I've used remote desktop connections with the native clipboard syncing and that has always been virtually instantaneous. Ideally, I'd like the automatic syncing to happen consistently within 1-2 seconds maximum, if not quicker.

If you have it set to sync text automatically, it should be pretty instant. Is the delay happening between Windows devices, or between mobile devices?

The delay is between Windows computers. It's a pretty consistent delay.

Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the ClipboardFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

I've attached the the debug logs from both computers. I copied something to the clipboard multiple times (at 2:38pm, 2:39, 2:40, and 2:44pm Pacific). Some were copied from "computer 1", and others were copied from "computer 2" to test the syncing in both directions. I had the Clipboard Manager open to the Online Recent tab on both PCs and I believe most took about 8-10 seconds for the new clipboard item to appear on the other computer's list. The last one at 2:44pm took about 15 seconds to sync.

If you head here, is there a delay in your synced items when you refresh the page? https://www.clipboardfusion.com/Online/

After testing it several times, the synced items appear at that link after about 3-5 seconds. (It wouldn't be there for the first refresh or two, but by the 3rd or 4th page refresh it would be there.) The Clipboard Manager Online Recent list would usually take another 2-3 seconds for it to appear, but I did have a few tests where the website updated in the usual 3-5 seconds, but it didn't appear in the Clipboard manager for about 20 seconds in one test and 33 seconds in the other test.

Dang, I just had an item that took over 2 minutes for it to sync and appear in the other computer's Clipboard Mananger Online Recent.

We were able to reproduce something similar here, so we've added it to our list to look into. We'll keep you posted if we have anything further on it going forward.

Thanks!

No updates yet, we're hoping to look into it for our next beta though

We've just released 6.4 Beta 2 and it reduces the time to sync after copying an item. Could you try it out and let us know how it goes?

Thanks!

I installed beta 6.2 on my two computers and did some initial testing. New clipboad entries appear online at https://www.clipboardfusion.com/Online/ in about 3-4 seconds. They appear in the Online Recent tab of the app in about 6-9 seconds. So it does seem to be faster than before, but I would still like it quicker if possible.

Is it 6-9 seconds from copying the text to when it shows up in the Online Recent on the same machine? Or you copy text on machine A, then it's 6-9 seconds to show up in Online Recent on machine B?

It shows up instantly in the Online Recent on the same machine. It takes 6-9 seconds to show up on the other machine.

Since installing the 6.2 beta, I've also noticed that sometimes the Online Recent list in the app seems to quit updating. This happened both when I initially installed the new beta and again when I just went to retest it to answer your recent question. I would copy multiple things and none of them would show up in the Online Recent list in the app, even after 60-120 seconds (on both computer A and B). It was as if the app had lost it's connection or was "asleep". Eventually, after restarting the app or clearing my online history, it would start working and new clipboard items would start appearing in the list as expected.

6-9 seconds is probably about as fast as it will get to sync to another machine.

It's definitely not normal for copied text to take 60+ seconds to show up on the Online Recent tab on your local machine though. I haven't run into that yet, but I will keep an eye on it here to see if I can reproduce it.

I haven't been able to reproduce the issue of the Online Recent tab not updating here. Could you enable debug logging and send us a copy of the log next time it happens?

  • On the ClipboardFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • The next time the Online Recent tab stops working, note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
Also just double-check that there isn't any text (or spaces) in the filter box at the bottom of the Clipboard Manager when this happens, just to be sure it's not just the filter preventing items from showing.

I was able to reproduce it on my very first try. :P I launched ClipboardFusion, enabled logging, and copied something to the clipboard at 4:45 pm on 8/21/2026. It immediately appeared in the local history tab in the app, but I waited for two minutes and it never appeared in the Online Recent tab (on the same computer). I viewed my history online at https://www.clipboardfusion.com/Online/ just to make sure it was copied (it did correctly appear on the website).

After two minutes, I copied something else to the clipboard at 4:47 pm and it immediately appeared in the Online Recent list (on the same computer), but the initial item still has not appeared in the list after 10 minutes. I've attached my logs. (And yes, my search/filter bar in the app is blank.)

We just released a new beta version with some push fixes, would you be able to give this a try and see if the issue is resolved for you?

Yes, the latest beta seems to be working much better for me. Copied items consistently show up in the Online Recent tab and they sync to the other computer in 5-6 seconds almost every time.
