Thanks for the log! I see some errors in there, but not sure what they point to. I'll pass this over to our developers for review.

The next time this occurs, could you open the Windows Task Manager and add the following columns, then let us know the values of each of those columns for ClipboardFusion.exe?

Wanted to add another observation, during this crash where the Clipboard Manager opens but no new items are copied to it. The search box does not search as well.

Thanks! Looks like there's a User Object leak there, once it hits 10,000, everything breaks because Windows doesn't allow it to create any more handles.
Quick question, do you copy a lot of images? Feb 24, 2020

Hi Keith,
Hmm so a leak causes the User object count to hit 10,000 and that causes a stall of the program? That's correct I do deal with lots of images. Would you like me to enable L2 or L3 debugs? Thanks. Feb 25, 2020

No debug log needed at the moment. Another question though, are you ok with clearing the history to test something? If so, when the User Object count is higher than 300, could you clear the history and tell me what the count goes down to?

Hi Keith,
I had 5000 in the user object count. So did a clear and see little to no difference. Sharing the before and after • Attachment [protected]: After.png [5,791 bytes]

Ok, could you do another test for me? If you restart ClipboardFusion, what does the value start at? And if you just let the computer sit idle for a few minutes, does that value increase on its own? If not, does it seem to increase every time you copy an image?

Sure. How ever I can help
So my observation, I don't think it increases becuase of the images. I have seen it actually decrease when I take images. Sharing some screenshots and a video • Attachment [protected]: After Copying Fifth Image.png [7,544 bytes]

Thanks for the video! To clarify what's happening there, is the User Object count going up with each time you copy text? Or is it just increasing on its own, regardless of what you do?

Hi,
It goes up when I copy & paste any text. It doesn't seem to decrease. However, if I copy an image, it goes up momentarily but comes down to a lower number. Mar 1, 2020

Ok awesome, thanks for confirming! I think I'm seeing the same behaviour here, so I'll pass all of this info over to our devs
We'll be sure to let you know when it's all sorted out. Thanks! Mar 3, 2020

Hi Keith,
Thanks for the confirmation. Hope I can get a fix soon. Have to exit and restart CF every 2 days or so after a crash. |
|
No worries, we'll keep you posted as soon as we have a fix!
