Hi folks,

I've seen other people have this issue, and found a macro that was intended to solve this, but it didn't work for me, so asking here -

I want to run a trigger to scrub text coming from PDF programs, essentially so that it gets rid of line breaks. The built-in text scrubbing options seem to do this well enough except for one thing: line breaks are being taken out and not replaced with a space, so words that originally were separated by a line break are being joined together.

How can I fix this? I tried making a trigger with a basic find and replace action, but setting the find to be "/n" didn't seem to work, or I was doing it wrong...

Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thank you!

P.S: That sale was too tempting - just bought a license! :D

Thank you for your purchase! Could you try creating a Text Replace rule like the attached image? (Note: there's a space in the Replace Text box)

Hi Keith,

Thanks for replying - that worked perfectly, thank you! I think I was missing the "+" on the end before.

A world of stress-free cut and pasting from PDF awaits me. Thanks again! :)

I'm having this problem too. Can you tell me where/what exactly I need to change in the default settings to prevent the problem of the missing space when removing line breaks from pdfs? As in, where do I enter this rule in the picture? And do I leave "Scrub line breaks within text" checked or unchecked?

You'd need to take the default "Scrub Text" action out of the Trigger, and add a new "Text Replace" action to do the above.

Hope that helps!
