The Show History and Show Pinned hot keys (in my case they're Ctrl+Win+C and Ctrl+Win+P) pop the relevant list but as soon as I let the keys go the list disappears - pretty sure this wasn't happening in 5.1

You probably have the one key navigation option selected.

One of the changes in 5.1.1

Thanks - I just reinstalled 5.1.0 :-(

Not wittingly selected - if that's the problem it must be selected by default. IMO any new settings in any software should wherever possible have a default value that maintains the current behaviour.

I'll re-install 5.1.1 and have a look for this one key navigation setting

ETA; yep that was it, thanks again

Any idea of the intended use of 'One Key Navigation' - it sounds like something I should like but ...

Hey,

Glad to help out :)

The intended use of one key navigation is for easy pasting and it works like this:

  • 1. I have Ctrl+' shortcut setup for opening the history tab
  • 2. Hold Ctrl and press ' while keep holding CTRL.
  • While holding the CTRL, keep pressing ' and it will cycle between each item available in the history
  • 3. Once you get to the desired selection, release CTRL and it will paste it

It's a very handy solution but since they enabled it for the first selection, the program can't differentiate if it's for the first entry or a shortcut to keep the popup open.

There's an option in the Settings > Advanced Settings that will change it back to the old behaviour as well :)

Thank you so much for posting. I have changed the setting to 'ClipboardFusion won't select the first item'. It was driving me crazy!

Thanks again!
