Using this premade Macro:

Remove Linebreaks from Text (with auto copy-paste)

DOES auto paste. But...it leaves the line breaks in?
https://imgur.com/4hf2GTK

My friend recommended that I use Clipboard fusion. He's been trying to help me. Installed the app & the Macro on his PC. It works for him.

Seems to happen with any PDF I use, even a randomly selected one newly downloaded. For example, any PDF from here https://freeclassicebooks.com/charles_dickens.htm.

Used two different PDF readers. Adobe DC Reader & PDF X-CHange Editor.

Got:
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of
wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was
the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season
of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we
had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going
direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the
period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest
authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the
superlative degree of comparison only.

Jerry, left alone in the mist and darkness, dismounted meanwhile, not
only to ease his spent horse, but to wipe the mud from his face, and
shake the wet out of his hat-brim, which might be capable of holding
about half a gallon. After standing with the bridle over his heavily-
splashed arm, until the wheels of the mail were no longer within
hearing and the night was quite still again, he turned to walk down
the hill.

Even tried this way: https://imgur.com/WI1trZR

Same result.

What do you think is hapening?

Thanks,

Flin

Hi,

I think i know your issue. That's a terrible name for the Macro you're trying to use! What it actually does remove any lines that are whitespace only. We'll be sure to rename it to make it a little more obvious.

I did go ahead and modify that macro to have it actually remove linebreaks though! Here's how to get it into ClipboardFusion:

  • Download the file attached to this post
  • Open the ClipboardFusion Settings window
  • On the "Macros" tab, click the "Add" button
  • Copy the text from the file you downloaded in the first step into the window that popped up
  • You can review the code and assign the Macro a HotKey
  • Click OK to close the Macro Edit window, then OK again to save and apply your changes

Thanks!
