Is the Clipboard Manager window open when you're trying to shut down?

Interesting, are there any Macros running? (if there are, there will be separate tray icons for them)

Neither. I just installed the program for the first time and left it running. I have not yet explored the features of the program.

Ok, that's really strange then! Could you send us a debug log for this issue?

Could you send me a debug log?
  • On the ClipboardFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

Thanks! Nothing unusual in the log, unfortunately :(

When that happens, if you exit and restart ClipboardFusion, then try shutting down the computer again, do you still get that message?

Hi, I had tested this too and the same problem continues. :(

If you do not have a solution, would a refund be possible? Thank you.

Sorry for the delay. I don't have a solution at the moment, no. I'm a bit stumped on this, because that's not the normal "a program is preventing shutdown" window that Windows shows. It almost seems like that might be coming from another application (notice how it's missing the "n" in ClipboardFusion too).

Is this a work computer or a personal computer? Do you know if there are any logoff scripts or third-party apps that try to shutdown the programs?

Hello,
It's a working computer, but I'm the one who supports it. It also has no script or other application to force shutdown. I'm going to take a test. I'm going to leave all the applications that are running with Windows all the time and I'll just leave ClipboardFusion and have Windows shut down and we'll see if it will give the same problem.

Good Morning! I did the test. I turned off all other applications and opened CliboarFusion and had Windows shut down and unfortunately the same problem happened.

Ok, would you be able to download and run our other app, "Window Inspector", and then grab the info for that erorr message and send it to me?

Sorry, I should have sent over more detailed steps the first time:

  • Try to shutdown, so that window is visible
  • Open Window Inspector
  • Hover over the window with your mouse so that the window's info shows in the Window Inspector window
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + F1 to freeze the timer in Window Inspector
  • Press Ctrl + Shift + F2 to save the info from Window Inspector to a file
  • Send me the file from the previous step

Thanks! That's definitely a Windows dialog, strange that I can't get it to happen here.

Unfortunately without being able to reproduce it here while connected to a debugger, we probably won't be able to get it fixed up :(

If you'd still like a refund, please let me know and we'll take care of it.

Thanks!
