It is getting extremely annoying to have to keep my sound muted to prevent this program from playing sounds, and if I watch a video and need to turn it on and forget to mute it again I suddenly get jolted out of my chair by some notification if I copy something or accidentally trigger some action.. I know the program is copying things I copy or cut to the clipboard I do NOT need an audible alert PERIOD for any action of this app.

The sound you're hearing is played by Windows when any tray notification popup is shown, so there are a couple of options:

  • You can disable the sound in the Windows Sound settings (Settings > search for "Sound" and click "Change system sounds"), then find the one called "Notification" in the list and set its sound to None. This will disable that sound effect for all tray notifications, not just ClipboardFusion.
  • Alternatively, you can disable the tray notifications in ClipboardFusion. Uncheck all of the boxes on the ClipboardFusion Settings > Tray Icon Settings tab, and also remove any "Play Sound" actions from rules on the Settings > Triggers tab.

Hope that helps!

I cannot find "Play Sound" actions from rules on the Settings > Triggers tab.". Can you please direct me. I just installed it and its really bugging me.
I just muted the sound from the system settings but shouldn't have to do that, your program should offer a simple mute option.
Also, I unchecked every single tray notification but still get the pop up when i copy something.
Please help.
Thanks

@Mark: Are you seeing a popup notification in the bottom right of your screen when you copy text?

Ok, that would be what's making the sound. The sound that's playing is the default sound when a Windows notification toast is shown.

Does the Trigger rule have a "Show Notification" action? If so, could you try removing that?

Thanks!
