I'm looking to have copied text typed, but not to go through the interface to do so. Is there a hotkey for typing text?

if you are using an EN/US qwerty keyboard, this is indeed an option. But not if you have other keyboard layouts.
There is already a button in the GUI that can do this: (see attached image)

So having this possible to attach to a shortcut for the last item in the clipboard should be easy, the code is already in the product.
