Unfortunately, it looks like Windows also registers all other combinations of Ctrl/Shift + Win + 1-9, as pressing any one of those launches the taskbar shortcuts at those positions.

Maybe another program is using that combination".

Looking at Windows 8 docs, I cant see that it uses CTRL+WIN+n for anything.

Can you please offer any advice or suggestions?

UPDATE:

I have updated to 3.0.1 same problem though
the precise message is:

HotKey Bind Failed. Pinned Item #1
Shift + Control + Win +1
Key combination might already be in use. ]]>
