In the latest ClipboardFusion Beta, you can now use RegEx in the Text Replace rules. Please note that Text Replace has been moved to an Action in the Trigger rules (Settings > Triggers).

Ah no, that's not currently possible, sorry

I will add a feature request to our list for RegEx support on the Text Replace rules, and we'll post an update if/when we're able to implement it

Thanks, I found that and had a play with it, but couldn't find anything about regex support? The tags concerned have various attributes,so would something like work?

There sure is! On the Text Replace tab, add a new rule with in the Match Text box, and leave the Replace Text box blank. When you scrub text, it will also run the Text Replace rule.

Hi Keith,

The change in the auto scrub settings worked perfectly. That's brilliant! What a useful feature.

On slightly different tack, is there a way to get CF to strip certain HTML tags? I's like to strip all SPANs when copying / pasting between an old version of word and a web app.

It sounds like the ClipboardFusion text scrubbing might be stripping out some stuff that the code needs to run. You can add Illustrator to the Ignore Programs list in the ClipboardFusion Settings, and then it shouldn't try to do anything with the text.

If you need the text in the Clipboard History or Recent Items still, you can set the Text Scrubbing mode to something like "Auto-scrub all except on double-copy," instead of putting it on the Ignore Programs list. Then, when you copy from Illustrator, if you press Ctrl + C twice (quickly), it will still copy the text to the History/Recent Items, but won't modify the text.

Hi

I have a problem with Clipboard Fusion in that it doesn't work with Illustrator CC (possibly earlier version as well).

The vector object in Illustrator are svg objects, when CF is active the actual svg code is copied to the clipboard (makes sense), but when it's copied into another illustrator file, the svg code is pasted as plain text rather than as instructions to Illustrator to create the object.

It would be great if this could be fixed (but I guess that's no small undertaking) but in the mean time, is there a way to have CF ignore specific applications?
