Thanks so much for adding the Text Replace functionality. You've just made a great little app even better.

The way that I'm using this feature is that everytime I cut'n'paste from Word, I check the text to see if there are any weird characters. If there are, I add them to the list. After I did this a few times, I've pretty much added 99% of the characters that I need to replace on a regular basis, and I'll just keep an eye out for any more in the future.

While I love this feature, there are times when I don't want to use it, and the only way to acheive this at the moment seems to be to delete all the text replacements, and then I would have to add them all back again later. Perhaps in a future version there could be the ability to enable or disable this feature with a checkbox. Or perhaps have different profiles, eg. one profile when cut'n'pasting from Word, another profile that strips out HTML tags, another profile to fix 'f i' issues when cut'n'pasting from PDF's, another profile to replace special characters with their HTML entities (eg. ©), etc, etc. I hope I'm not asking for too much

I think the RegEx suggestion would be really cool (and useful) too.

I don't have any plans to support regular expressions for this area, sorry. I replaced the icon with an icon from the unified icon set I use with all of my applications, and this also allows the icon to be higher resolution (up to 64x64). Do we need to physically copy the characters from Word into the Match Text/Replace text area? I don't see any instructions on how best to utilize this feature.

Perhaps some suggested replacements could be automatically placed into the preferences area, or instructions on how to write special characters such as curly quotes from Word into the Text Replace area. Will it ever support regular expressions?

As a web developer, often times I am cutting and pasting content from M$ Word and pasting into Visual Studio before formatting it into HTML. Unfortunately M$ Word likes to do things like:

• using angled single quotes (‘ and ’ - 6s and 9s) rather than simple ASCII apostophies ('),
• using angled double quotes (“ and ” - 66s and 99s) rather than simple ASCII double quotes ("),
• using dashes (–) rather than simple hyphens (-),
• etc

Is there any way to have an option that will convert all these M$ Word characters back into normal ASCII characters (the ones that you can type with the keyboard) when the scrubbing takes place?
