You wouldn't exactly lose any functionality, but ClipboardFusion does use the registry to save settings, and uses the Local App Data by default for the history list database. This should be fine if you're using it with one computer, but if you want to run it from something like a USB stick, you might run into some problems with losing your settings when you run it for the first time on a new computer.<br/>

In 5.8 we added a new command line option (-portable) that looks in the application's current directory for the database. This way if you wanted to run ClipboardFusion from a USB stick, you'd at least be able to bring your clipboard history/local pinned items with you. You'd still run into a problem with the settings though, but you could always throw a registry settings backup on your USB stick as well.<br/>
